The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
Our number 1 priority making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!

Do you have payment plans?
We offer a few payment options! We offer pre and post payment plans, with incentives to opt for a pre-payment! If you pay a collection in full before your shoot, you will unlock one of our luxury 5 gifts, curated based on the 5 love languages. If you want more time to be able to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few months out, and pay it off in payments! If you’d rather wait til you see your images, we can absolutely do that too! We want to make sure this experience is accessible to everyone so we are quite flexible with payment plans. Let me know if this is something that you want to set up!
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!
Do you Photoshop my images?
I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I apply my signature color grading and I do this very intuitively depending on my client and the vibe. I do skin retouching and blemish removal. I do NOT however edit anything out that is permanent unless we’ve had a conversation about it first. I know that a lot of us wear scars to honor our battles and some of us would rather not be reminded of them. This is something we’ll touch on your style and comfort questionnaire you’ll receive once you book your session. I’ll take a moment to quote Kendrick Lamar here, “I’m so fuckin’ sick and tired of the Photoshop…Show me somethin’ natural like ass with some stretch marks”. I will never bodymorph images, I’ll only do it if some lingerie is pinching deeply into your skin, causing bulges, stuff like that, as I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, only to go home and compare your natural beautiful self to a version of you that’s not real. You are enough. I’ll remove stretch marks upon request and I’ll always smooth them, but I will not make you look like a plastic doll. If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine!
Where should I buy outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different style and sizing! Our preparation guide has many resources and links to our favorite websites and stores. I will help you out in this department as well. And remember, lingerie is not always a requirement. You can wear fishnets with a band-tee, a flowy skirt with a lacy bra, bedsheets, and nude counts as an outfit too 😉
What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of albums, folio boxes, wall art, prints, and crystal USBs plus more goodies! The albums are my favorite. They are made from luxury, high quality materials and assembled by an all-women team that specialize in boudoir printing as boudoir calls for more lush materials and elements. I absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical print, it’s so surreal to see yourself like that!

Do you offer digitals?
Yes, we do offer digital collections as well! We like to offer something for everyone’s needs. Your gallery will be accessible via a private and secure online gallery or crystal USB. We love options!
I’m freaking out. How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first so much better!
How many outfits should I bring?
I like to suggest up to 4 outfits! We usually have enough time to shoot 3-5. Please bring only what you love! If you don’t feel comfortable or if an outfit doesn’t really feel like you, it’ll show through the photos. So bring all ya got and we’ll narrow them down together! I’ll usually throw some skirts, bodysuits, dresses, and jewelry body chains atcha also 🙂
Should I get to my shoot early?
We ask that you arrive right on time at your scheduled session. We often have sessions back to back and need every minute to get ready for you 🙂
Where is your studio located?
We are located in the storybook city of Frederick, MD! Seriously. They film Hallmark movies down in the Historic District. We love this town and our studio! There is so much history here, ask us about it!
