Almost all the clients you see on this website felt the exact same way. Feeling nervous is a sign that you’re doing something big and exciting. It’s normal and part of the process. But here’s the thing: even if you don’t feel confident enough to do this, saying “f*ck it” and going for it anyway is step #1 in becoming the confident woman you want to be.

There’s no need for you to worry about knowing how to pose. That’s our job, not yours! Any concerns you may have about feeling awkward in front of the camera are something we’ve heard from countless clients before, and we’re here to help. We’ll guide you through every step of the way, from your fingertips to your toes, and we even have breathing exercises to ease your nerves. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to shine in front of the camera.

While we make the skin look it’s best, we keep the “Photoshop” action minimal. I rely on my strategic poses and angles to play down areas that may concern you. We WILL edit out minor blemishes/skin flaws as well as simple things like under-eye circles and small scars (IF you request the scar-removal). My main rule of thumb is, if it’s permanent, it stays, and when it comes to retouching, less is more. Many women ask about the retouching of stretch marks. While we firmly believe that your stretch marks are a part of your story and therefore are beautiful, we do also understand many women’s aversion to their own. Our standard skin smoothing process will subtly fade the appearance of stretch marks, but please be sure to request more or less at your photo shoot appointment if you have a different preference. My post-processing techniques are more focused on contrast, skin smoothing, sharpening, etc, rather than body morphing.

I suggest having your session at least 6 weeks before you need your products in hand, so we’re not missing any special dates!

I completely understand that privacy is a top priority for many of my clients, and I want to assure you that I am fully committed to honoring your wishes. If you feel comfortable sharing your amazing photos and your testimony with others, I would be more than happy to showcase them in my portfolio and on social media. However, if you prefer to keep your images private, I completely respect that decision and will not share them without your express permission.

It’s important to me that you feel in control of the process and comfortable with whatever decision you make regarding your photos. I’ve had many clients who have different preferences when it comes to sharing their images, and I’m happy to work with you to find a solution that works best for you. If you ever have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

No, not everyone does! When you book your session I send out a questionnaire to get to know you a little better and we cover this very question! I ask you your comfort level and that helps me with posing ideas and outfit choices. The white sheets “outfit” is a great way to do implied nude without seeing all the goodies. If you feel comfortable enough in the end and want to do some nudes, we can certainly do that, but it’s not required. I want you to feel comfortable and beautiful in your own way!

I do have a fully inclusive digital collection! It’s a great way to get ALL your images without having to narrow any of them down. You may also receive your digitals in our top Aurora Collection along with some other gorgeous products!

HECK NO. I never make you do something you’re not comfortable with! There are plenty of ladies who have had a session with me and you’ll never see one photo. This is a choice that you all make after your session is complete. You have 3 choices on how your images are shared, if at all. The bottom line is: I will honor whatever level of privacy you would like. Most clients are so proud of their images that they give me full discretion to choose images for my portfolio and social sharing, some clients prefer that only their faceless images be put in my gallery, some clients prefer to choose the images that are posted, and other clients are comfortable with anything being posted, as long as it’s after a certain date (after they gift the images).

Just let me know where you stand on the topic and I will honor your wishes. I am always happy to sign NDA’s should you need one from me because of your profession or public visibility. At KD Petrunina Studios, your comfort and privacy are top priorities. You’ll never be pressured to share your photos, and there are plenty of clients who have chosen to keep their images completely private. After your session, you’ll have three options for how your images are shared (or not shared) and I’ll honor whatever level of privacy you’re comfortable with. Some clients are proud to have their images featured in our portfolio and on social media, while others prefer only faceless images to be displayed, or to choose which images are shared. And for those with public visibility or special privacy needs, I am happy to sign an NDA. We want you to feel confident and reassured throughout the entire process, so just let us know where you stand and we’ll make it happen.

We all need a little support from our besties sometimes, and I’m all for it! Having one friend there to calm your nerves and give you reassurance during your session is absolutely fine with me.

However, to ensure that the shoot goes smoothly, I do kindly ask that your friend not interfere with the shoot by touching you up between every shot or directing your posing, as I will take care of anything like that that needs to be done.

Please note that I can only allow one friend in the room with you during the shoot, and boyfriends/husbands/spouses are not permitted in the room while we are shooting. It’s a firm policy.
